Da Bird Cat Catcher Cat Toy by Go Cat Feather Toys

Product Description

Another great toy from the makers of the Da Bird. The Cat Catcher Teaser Wand toy has a cute little mouse attached to a flexible braided wire and then connected to a 12" glitter wand. The mouse averages 2 inches in length with a tail that averages 3 inches. A fantastic toy to interact with your kitty for play and exercise. Colors may vary.

5.0 out of 5 stars My cats would rate this toy 10 stars!!, February 21, 2007

I am a licensed veterinary technician who works at a feline-only hospital. We recently started carrying these Cat Catchers so I took one home for my two cats. They absolutely LOVED it!! They go nuts for it!

I like the wire instead of the string since my cats have a history of eating string (yikes!), so there is less damage of chewing and swallowing it. Though it's still a supervised-only toy. Both of them sit by the closet where I keep it and meow at me until I get it down.

Every client who has bought one has raved about it. I don't know what it is about these toys, but cats LOVE them!! I'd highly recommend this toy for any age cat.

1.0 out of 5 stars It Chipped my cat's tooth!!!, April 7, 2011

I have to say it's my fault. When i first saw the toy i realized it can be a hazard but my cats loved it too much. I decided to keep it and even bought several ones to replace it. my cats really really loved it. The problem with this toy is that the part that attaches the mouse to the wire has small parts that can get stuck in a cat's tooth while playing. I tried to be extremely careful when handling this toy but it seems that you can never be careful enough :(
It chipped a relatively small part of my cat's tooth, but this warning is more than enough. I felt like i was obliged to tell everyone about this. By the way, the same thing applies to the other version of the toy (the one with feathers). I will post the same review for the other version as well.
I really hope the company sees this and try to modify the toy.

I just happen to pick this toy up at my vet's office and expected it to be like most other toys I bring home to my cats. I was wrong. This is by far one of the best toys ever.

I have four cats and they all want this mouse to themselves. They exhaust themselves chasing and jumping after it. I have to hide the toy away in a drawer just to give them (and myself) a rest. Even then they sit at the drawer and wait for me to get it back out.

I have one cat that needs to lose a bit of weight and it is very hard getting him to be active since he broke a hip a few years ago. He is an older cat and I have not seen him move like this in years. He actually chases around after this mouse and comes off the floor jumping for it like a kitten and has not lost interest in it yet.

This little mouse is attached to a wire rather than a string and it looks like a real mouse running across the floor. I suspect that is what creates such a reaction in my cats... Read more
