My cat has had this since he was about 3 months old, he's almost 3 years old now. He's loved it from the day we bought it for him. Somehow it keeps them so entertained, watching the mouse spin around. He loves to pounce on it and punch the mouse so much the fur has nearly worn off the entire mouse! We once took in a stray kitten before he was adopted, and he too loved this toy. He played with it all day and night! One of the best cat toys I have purchased! 25 of 25 people found the following review helpful By Dark Helmet (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Cat 'N' Mouse Cat Powered Cat Toy (Misc.) This toy consists of a 'floating' hard plastic mouse covered with fake fur mounted on a raised plastic swing arm attached to the base in the middle. There seems to be some kind of ball bearing system at work, because the mouse swings freely at the lightest tap. Another good point is that unlike some toys, it doesn't make much noise, so if your cat decides to play with it all night, it won't keep you up. The only thing I would change is possibly making the base a little heavier, since it tends to get pushed around a bit.My kitten likes to lie on the floor and stick his arms through the holes to get the mouse. Even if the mouse is completely on the other side, odds are his flailing will bump the swing arm and bring it around. He plays with this thing for hours. There is a scratch pad on the top, but I've never seen... Read more 21 of 22 people found the following review helpful By This review is from: Cat 'N' Mouse Cat Powered Cat Toy (Misc.) Our kitty does not play with this all the time, but if we throw it out in the middle of the floor, he will swat at it for a few minutes. It's an enjoyable diversion for him, swatting and playing. He's not obsessed, but we're not sad we bought this. It's a worth addition to our cat-entertainment arsenal. |
